How It Started
In the early 2000’s, my husband and I relocated back to my childhood home in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. My children were young and I wanted them to experience a childhood similar to the one I enjoyed. To make this a reality, I worked hard to establish a "career" that afforded me the flexibility to spend as much time with them as possible.
I was raised in a Mennonite home and sewing was part of my heritage. Most of my childhood wardrobe was handmade by my mother. My sisters and I were raised knowing how to sew (and work in a garden!) and I continued to enjoy creating and sewing throughout my adult life.

From idea to reality
Growing Over the Years
Lancaster County is known for it's quality handmade products and visitors come from around the world to immerse themselves in the unique culture pervading Lancaster, PA. My idea was to combine what I knew and loved (sewing) with what thousands of guests come to experience each year.
I started making handbags, luggage and totes and selling them through local gift shops. In 1997, I was invited to open a shop in Kitchen Kettle Village in Intercourse, PA. Since then, I have personally made every bag, with the assistance an AMAZING local seamstress.
